About the Hall
Hoveton Village Hall & Recreation Ground was built over 70 years ago in 1951 and has been a pillar of the community of Hoveton ever since. The Hall has a fabulous history including being a top music venue where Eric Claton and Cream played on November 18, 1966! Many live bands throughout the 1960's & 1970's.
It is run by a sub-committee of volunteers, overseen by Hoveton Parish Council as the sole Trustee.
Our community facility has a Main Hall with adjacent kitchen facilities, toilets, and a stage. There is the 'Dr Shields Room' and this is a smaller meeting room off the hall that is also available for hire. There is also the 'Jubilee Room' which is a large sized meeting room at the back of the building.
Outside has large playing fields and an outdoor cafe area. There is a zip wire withlots of play equipment for children. The Hoveton Playing fields are also availble to hire for fetes, to sporting teams and for recreational groups.
